You’ll be pleased to hear that dogs are warmly welcome at Hotel Riederalm. We’ve gathered the key information here to help you enjoy a memorable holiday with your dog in Austria. We want you and your dog to enjoy every moment of your holiday at Hotel Riederalm. To help us prepare for your stay, please let us know when you enquire if you’d like to bring your dog.
Dogs are welcome in selected room categories at Hotel Riederalm. They can also join you at certain tables in our hotel restaurant and the “dahoam” restaurant. If you’d like to bring your dog to dinner, please let us know well in advance so we can reserve a suitable table.
Please understand that, without advance notice, we cannot guarantee a dog-friendly room or a suitable table in the restaurant. Dogs are not permitted in the spa, playground or buffet area. There are, however, countless walking trails to explore right outside the hotel. And your room’s balcony is a lovely place to relax with your dog, too.
Into the mountains with your dog
Let’s be honest: there’s nowhere our dogs would rather be than outside in the mountains. At Hotel Riederalm, the mountains really are right on your doorstep. Perfect for the first dog walk of the day, complete with panoramic views. Or as the starting point for a hike. Fancy heading higher? The Asitzbahn cable car, just 50 metres from the hotel, gives you an almost unfair head start. In a few minutes, it takes you up to one of Austria’s most beautiful hiking areas.

A Michelin-starred dinner without your dog? There’s no need to leave them behind: your dog is welcome to join you at the “dahoam” restaurant. We can’t offer your companion a ten-course gourmet menu – that’s just for you – but they’re very welcome to keep you company.

Um in Bergbahnen und öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln in Österreich mitzufahren, braucht Ihr Hund eine Leine und einen Beißkorb. In den meisten Bergbahnen sind Hunde erlaubt und können gegen einen kleinen Aufpreis mitfahren. Wir empfehlen Ihnen jedoch, sich vorab direkt auf der Website der jeweiligen Bergbahn zu informieren.
